Structure

In accordance with the new rules of the Charities Commission (that came into effect in 2010), the 'Sussex Marine Trust' was initially established as a company limited by the guarantee of its members with companies house, then as a charitable non-profit company with the Charities Commission.

Anybody can join the Sussex Marine Trust as a member. These members have the right to vote on subjects concerning the Trust at the Annual General Meetings.

The Sussex Marine Trust has a board of Directors/Trustees who are responsible for the day to day running of the trust and these people make decisions affecting the trust at regular board meetings.
